management, ELN and IP Protection
June 27th, 2008 — The Edge today announce version 3.0 of
BioRails. Generated in support of deployment at Lundbeck Pharmaceuticals.
BioRails 3.0 introduces a number of innovations including support for team based working,
extensions to the strong workflow and planning tools for
pharmaceutical research projects together with intellectual property
protection using electronic signatures and PDF archiving.
“BioRails is quickly
gaining momentum in the market challenging traditional suppliers
with its combination of structured data managment and unstructured
electronic laboratory notebook”, said Dr. Ted
Hawkins, Principal biology consultant and director at The Edge Software Consultancy,
"This supports not only data capture and report preparation, but
builds an effective knowledgebase for data mining and analysis
leveraging the value of the data."
“The fusion of
knowledge and engineering excellence is proving a winning
combination allowing us to beat more established competitors who
fail to match our flexibility and experience”, said Dr. Andrew Lemon,
Managing Director, "Building on our success at Lundbeck other
pharmaceutical companies have recognised the value of our offering
and come on board. We offer a level of innovation that traditional
vendors simply cannot match."
